iPad 2 Jail break Challenge Has Been Accepted by Sony PS3 Hacker

Tuesday 25 October 2011
It is the most recent news of the technological world which is not only exciting but also very interesting that George Hotz has accepted iPad 2 Jail break challenge. George Hotz is well recognized name in the field of hacking and the former play station 3 hacker, who uses the nym Geohot, has strong-willed to challenge iPhone hacker, Joshua Hill to dump the iPad 2 BootROM before him. Well, its really so daring of him!

IPhone hacker Joshua Hill said on his Twitter account, that he has challenged Hotz to “dump the IPad 2 BootROM” before he can. Though Hotz does not have an iPad, he intends to get one which he states will make him closer to breaking all of Apple’s devices coming this year.

Hotz who once worked with Sony and was faced with a lawsuit considering his iPad 2 Jail breakthreat to unleash fire and brimstone after successfully hacking PS3.After that it was reported that Sony faced attacks from some un-known and unidentified personalities, but  the whole case was said to have ended in a settlement last month.

Well-known for jail-breaking iPhones, Hotz proposes to break the most recent version of iOS, as it’s amazing that it has not been done by someone else because Apple’s iPad 2 has been out for some time now.

However, he pointed out in a blog post last month, that iPad 2 Jail break needed some reverse-engineering in order to get it to work as Apple is making it awfully difficult to jailbreak their devices.

Jailbreaking IOS will be a magnet for the attention of Apple’s lawyers, it will attract their interest. However, the attention of Apple’s lawyers is because, Jailbreaking IOS isn’t actually illegal, and without a doubt has become an iPad 2 Jail breakaccepted way of using iPhones and iPads and playing around with programs without having to deal with the restrictions of Apple’s App Store. And may be this fact encourages Hotz a lot. He,  however said not to probably get the attention of Apple’s lawyers as jail breaking is not illegal and has become an accepted way of using iPhones, iPads and playing around with programs without bothering about Apple App Store’s restrictions.

Hotz added, “Getting the  iPad 2 Jail break would mean that we are one step closer to jailbreak all the rest of the Apple idevices coming this year including iPhone 5, iPod touch 5G or any new form of Apple TV they may introduce.”
